The unique viewpoint of an Oxford dog-walker
A quick chat about life and stuff this afternoon with a dog-walker from near Oxford. Who also happens to one of the leading writers and authorities on jazz anywhere, Alyn Shipton.
Ian Carr
Shipton reminded me that his full biography of the very lamented Ian Carr, “Out of the Long Dark” published by Equinox Books in June 2006 is available.
Jimmy McHugh book
Shipton also mentioned to me that his next book, the first ever biography of the prolific songwriter Jimmy McHugh (1894-1969) will be published in August.
