Jazz and Film at the BFI – 12th to 14th June

John Dankworth in 1959, the year of the opening of Ronnie Scott’s.
Dankworth’s 1960’s film scores for Joseph Losey are a feature of the BFI’s weekend.

Both Modculture and Jazzwise Magazine draw well-deserved attention to a weekend devoted to jazz and film, tied in with the Ronnie Scott’s 50th anniversary celebrations, and part of the City Hall’s Story of London initiative. The BFI’s website is not yet updated for precise times. More once timings become available….

UPDATE: Within just a few minutes of my posting the above, a mightily impressive and helpful (New Zealander, breath-of-fresh-air) BFI Press Officer pinged me masses more information from the BFI’s about-to-be -published June guide. I will be selecting things which look good, but I will happily forward complete information to impatient devotees among you. EMAIL ME IF YOU NEED MORE!
