Kind of Blue Plaques Update

Brecon Jazz Festival’s initiative to elect a venue with a (Kind of) Blue plaque is one stage further today, with the announcement of a SHORT LIST OF VENUES:

•The Four Bars Inn (now Dempseys), Cardiff, 1987-present.
•Band on the Wall, Manchester, 1976-present.
•The Perch, Oxford, 1928-1948.
•The Old Duke, Bristol, late 1960s-present.
•The Concorde Club, Hampshire, 1957-present.
•Buckingham Palace, London, 1919-1932.
•Feldman Swing Club, London, 1942-1954.
•Ronnie Scotts, London, 1959-present.
•Bull’s Head, London, 1959-present.
•London Hippodrome, London, 1900-1983.
•Hammersmith Palais, London, 1919-2007.
•Club Eleven, London, 1948-1950.

Votes should go to kindofblue@breconjazz.org Voting closes Thursday August 6th, and the winning venue will be announced this Friday.
