Extraordinary. The word jazz reaches out into areas with absolutely nothing to do with the music. In this case the expression “jazz hands.”

My regular Google news search this morning finds a newspaper reference to novelist Margaret Atwood relegating all other mentions of jazz into second place, thus (article from today’s Guardian)
