Incidentally, the BBC Trust has just launched its service review of, among others, Radio 3, and is asking for submissions.

I like the idea of opera receiving coverage on the Beeb: the more classical music outside of Prom season, the better! As long as it's done properly, though: would you expect great musical insights into the Italianate opera tradition from … ulp .. Rick Stein ?!
