Bill Martin’s Plum Paradiddle

From the rural tranquillity of the plum harvest in Branton, east of Doncaster comes this picture from Bill Martin of Yamaha, one of the driving forces in British jazz education. He explains:

Plum Paradiddle
Drummers play a paradiddle with alternate right and left hands: RLRR LRLL.
Here’s a paradiddle you can see, with plums.

The main thing with a glut of autumn fruits – apart from having a fairly lively five-a-day routine – is that you're compelled to make too much jam, chutney and daft photos. Wait till I start on shoot for the 'megadiddle with medlars'! 😉
