New Orleans party band, The Soul Rebels Brass Band faced their biggest challenge yet in the form of London commuters, on the opening day of the festival.

“Hi Seb -yes I saw them yesterday in the Clore Ballroom at the South Bank(it was free as well!-aren't we lucky!)-were you there also? This band is amazing live and there 100s of people on their feet dancing-admitedly many had arrived early at the South Bank to see Hugh Masakela so the Soul Rebels enjoyed a very large crowd because they 'caught' the HM crowd as well and the Soul Rebels finished just before Hugh Masekela was due to start in the RFH.”
