–Booker T Jones – who headlined at last year’s Bluesfest London – won 7. Best Pop Instrumental Album for The Road From Memphis
–Manfred Eicher of ECM had received a nomination – for classical producer – but didn’t win.

Really pleased that Terri-Lynne Carrington won something – her album is such a great mix of female players, particularly the track “Transformation”. Also, Corea and Clarke showing that the older generation is still leading the way in making sure jazz fusion stays relevant into the 21st century
