Crowd in Greenmarket Square at the 2010 Festival |
I’d like to declare an interest. I was a panellist on the Arts Journalism Programme of the Cape Town Jazz Festival. What I can’t take responsibility for is the WONDERFUL quality of some pieces which have emerged from that programme.
1) Breathing jazz in Gugulethu (A heart-warming story about Adam Glasser by Fungai Tichwangana from Zimbabwe)

2) The Other Side (an unexpected angle on the public concert in Greenmarket Square by Nadine Theron from South Africa)
3) Jazz. No age limits, no class barriers (by Gabriela Moreira from Mozambique)
All the pieces so far produced are HERE on the Mail and Guardian’s website
