I’m hearing of a potential threat to the Sunday afternoon Jazz Downstairs at the Kings Head in Crouch End.
This gig/ jam session has been in its current location for over twenty years, and is the continuation of a gig which has run in different locations for around half a century. So it would be a pain, but not the end of the world if this gig – which drew seventy people last Sunday, I’m told – has to move on.

great music!
Thanks for the support guys – we've had a reply to our formal letter of appeal and the area manager wants to meet us to discuss the situation around the 8th August, hopefully we can find a solution and they continue to value our long established goodwill custom!
Any news from discussions with the area manager? It would be a terrible shame if this wonderful jam session were pushed out of its venue.
This is one of the places I've brought guests who want a taste of 'real' London.
We had a fabulous final gig at the King's last Sunday; it was absolutely heaving and the pub will be sure to be kicking it's self this coming Sunday when we take our custom and continue our residency at the fabulous Great Northern Railway Tavern, 67 High Street, Hornsey, London, N8 7QB – do join us for the party, 2-5.30pm as always, and stay in touch on Facebook – our new address for the occasion is https://www.facebook.com/thejazzN8
