Last night the David Kweksilber (front row left in firt picture) Big Band opened the Dutch Jazz and World Meeting 2012. The Dutch mix of irreverence, humour, nostalgia and adventure produced a successful night. The normal big band line up was augmented by an oboe/ cor anglais, a bassoon, and a tap dancer (third photo) Three charts written for the Stan Kenton Band by Bob Graettinger were a particular highlight.
