Winner of 2012 Nottingham International Jazz Piano Comp Jeremy Siskind

The first Prize at the Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition, consisting of a Kawai piano, a recording session and UK gigs, was won by Jeremy Siskind, aged 25. Originally from Irvine California, Siskind is now based in New York. He studied comparative literature at Columbia, music at Eastman College, has been a second prizewinner at the Montreux Competition, and currently performs and teaches extensively.

Here is the complete list of semi-finalists. The competition is sponsored by Clement Pianos. 2012 judges were Tim Richards, Andrea Vicari, Jamil Sheriff and David Newton.

    CD's of the Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition Grand Final 2012 are now available.

    This is a double CD with the performances of Jeremy Siskind (Winner), Nick Hetko, Jerry Leonide and Angelo Di'loreto. It also includes the 'Unseen Motif' each pianist had to play.
