  1. Interesting! These things sometimes work although sometimes they are complete flops. I remember a particularly good performance in Villerouge in the Languedoc by the French Orchestre National de Jazz of Led Zeppelin music rearranged for big band. It worked and was great. The arpegios at the beginning of stairway to heaven (if you ask) were played on the vibraphone. A whole different approach from Frank Zappa's big band of the early 90s which did the same song as a reggae number with Jimmy Page's famous solo played note for note (and harmonised) by the horns section!
