Paul Smith, the pianist on the classic Ella Fitzgerald album “Ella Fitzgerald Sings Songs From Let No Man Write My Epitaph” recorded in April 1960, and then re-released in 1989 as “The Intimate Ella” has died. His LA Times obituary is here.
