Zoe Rahman, who will open the new jazz series in Wolverhampton, writes:
“It’s an absolute privilege to be named alongside Dave Holland as a Patron of the Arena Theatre in Wolverhampton. I am delighted to be the first performer in the new jazz programme, and look forward to exploring commissioning ideas and promoting new work in a part of the country that has a real appetite for live jazz. I’m really looking to my gig there on October 5th”

Yesterday we announced anther Patron for the our jazz programme – renowned barrister, Michael Mansfield QC.
Mr. Mansfield is pleased to support the development of a jazz performance and education programme at the Arena, and said: “For me, jazz instils freedom of spirit and freedom of thought, both vital at this time of global political, economic and environmental meltdown caused by oppressive forces. The Arena Theatre’s jazz programme in Wolverhampton is a fine example of how to capture the imagination of a diverse community. Vibrant, stimulating and inclusive.”
