News: Preston – Glasgow – Lowe on UK Tour. 25th October – 21st November

“Superb young modern jazz men” (TimeOut London) Preston – Glasgow – Lowe are embarking on a Jazz Services and Arts Council funded tour which kicks off on the 25th October at the Verdict, Brighton, and finishes on the 21st November in Bonington with an extra gig in December at the Crypt in Camberwell.

The group – which was formed in 2011 by David Preston Guitar, who has played with Shaney Forbes who invited him to join Empirical, Kevin Glasgow, bass, and Laurie Lowe, drums, who has played with Robert Mitchell, Carl Orr, John Etheridge’s, and The Foreign Exchange – recorded and released their début online EP earlier this year which was mixed by guitarist Paul Stacey, and plan to release a full length album soon after the tour. They had no formal beginning however, it has always been about casual music making; they had their first gig at a Chaos Theory night.

Sigur Scruff Shadow is a piece written for the online EP by Kevin Glasgow about the three pet rats in his flat in Edinburgh. Kevin wrote it to show off what he could do on his instrument.
