Drummer Stu Butterfield, who has been putting on top class jazz n nice back room at the Great Northern Railway Tavern in Hornsey Lane N8 (including a gig by Kenny Wheeler, which we reviewed), had written to his mailing list of GNRT attenders, having had to cancel yesterday’s gig and all the planned schedule:
BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS: (Update Sunday 6th)
Stu now writes:
“Further to my email to you last Thursday,[…] we can now reinstate the gigs programmed for the rest of this month, and indeed, will book to the end of November, when we will break for Christmas/New Year, and the future of music at the GNRT will hopefully be a little clearer.
Gigs scheduled for the rest of October are:
Thursday10th Vasilis Xenopoulos Quartet featuring Nigel Price
17th Great Wee Band with special guest Alan Barnes
24th Mornington Lockett/John Critchinson Quartet
31 Art Themen/John Donaldson Quartet
We hope to see as many of you as possible at these gigs, and thank you for your forbearance
Stu Butterfield ”
