The Hub have launched a project funded by Arts Council England and the Musicians Union called Joining the Dots. This grant-giving scheme aims to fund new and innovative ways of financing and presenting live music. It is open to artists, managers, promoters, and others working in independent music. Grants of up to £10,000 are available.

In particular, they are keen to test alternative business models in:

– Touring, commissioning and presenting live music
– Using digital technology to increase live attendance and income
– Engaging younger audiences

Applications are open until the 31st January 2014. To apply, send a short film (which can be made on a phone) explaining your idea and fill out this application form.
