Ralf Dombrowski attended the final concert of Joe Locke Blues and Ballads European tour with Kenny Washington (vocals), Dado Moroni (piano), Darryl Hall (double bass) and Ernesto Simpson (drums), at Jazzclub Unterfahrt in Munich. He took these photographs and wrote:

These are five musicians who love to create their sound on stage together. They present modern traditional jazz music, very soulful,  latin-flavored, and virtuosically played. Their programme included classics like ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ but also a musical requiem for Locke’s colleague and friend, the much-missed saxophonist Bob Berg (1951-2002).

  1. This was a very special final night of a hugely successful, creative and soulful tour that took us through Germany and Switzerland, and also included a fabulous trip to Georgia for the Tbilisi Jazz Series.

These five guys are amazing and the visible fun on stage was reflected 100% in the great vibe off stage: Darryl Hall, Dado Moroni, Ernesto Simpson, Kenny Washington and Joe Locke. The audiences were fabulous. It was a beautiful ride…
