The popular and long-running vocal jazz nights at the Spice of Life are back, on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The night will feature three acts

– an established UK jazz vocal artist

– a support slot from an up and coming talent

– an open mic session where vocalists and instrumentalists are encouraged to perform a jazz standard or piece of their own.

These evenings in an intimate club setting as provided by the self-contained downstairs bar which seats approximately 60 people, has provided London audiences with a superb opportunity to experience top UK jazz vocalists on the scene as well as often providing a springboard for new talent. Over the past 15 years, the ‘Spicejazz’ nights have also helped nurture the careers of many vocalists and instrumentalists through performing at this central West End venue.

Headlining vocalists, in no particular order, have included Lee Gibson, Natalie Williams, Emilia Martensson, Joe Stilgoe, David Tughan, Anton Browne, Jamie Cullum, Tina May, Anita Wardell, Ian Shaw, Marlene The popular and long-running vocal jazz nights at the Spice of Life are back in 2014.
