The Love Supreme Discovery Competition, which aims to unearth a “an undiscovered jazz or soul talent” to appear at the Love Supreme Festival is running again. It will close for entries this Sunday May 18th. The winner of the competition last year, who won a slot at the inaugural festival in 2013 was Anoushka Lukas (above) She describes here win as having been “a huge breakthrough”.

Here are the instructions for entrants:
– Entry is via the Love Supreme Facebook Page
– Entrants will need to submit
A YouTube (or similar link) of one track being played live
A link of an audio file of the same or a different track
A 300 word ‘covering letter’ about the act
The competition will be judged by Jazz FM, Serious and Bluey from Incognito. The winner will be announced on 9 June 2014. Competitor sponsors are Matua Wines, founded by two brothers who planted the first sauvignon blanc grapes in New Zealand. Matua means the head of the family in Maori.
