Jazz FM has given out its second set of statistics since leaving national DAB platform at the end of 2013. Its weekly reach is up 10% from 500,000 to 549,000.
One feature we picked out in our comment in the first quarter figures is the exceptionally high listening via internet/mobile, which has continued to grow and is now at 34%. JazzFM have redefined the method of calculation of this relatively new statistical series. JazzFM Managing Director Jonathan Arendt told us: “This time we have amended to base the figure on listeners. We also have calculated the latest (and comparative historic) figures based purely on those who know what platform they are listening on – i.e. excluding don’t knows.”
