PREVIEW: Noemi Nuti’s New Monthly Latin Night at the Spice of Life (starts Sep 10th)

Noemi Nuti

Vocalist Noemi Nuti writes about her new Latin Music Residency at The Spice of Life, starting Wednesday September 10th:

I am really proud to present my new idea for a monthly residency at the Spice of Life: to bring new or well-established Brazilian music performing acts to Soho for an evening of collaborations.

The format is very simple, I will be performing a first mini-set early to then leave the way or join the main band in the second set.

After a great debut at Yoxford Music Festival this summer 2014, I have invited new Choro/Bossa Nova band Brasileiro lead by world-class flautist Anna Noakes to come perform in London for the first night of the residency.

The line-up includes:

Anna Noakes – flute
Noemi Nuti – vocals
Quentin Collins – trumpet/flugel horn
Grant McFarlane-Dowse – guitar
Gary Kettel – percussion
Rob the Bob – percussion

The main act will be preceded by a short set of samba/bossa nova music with pianist John Cervantes and bassist Darren McCarthy.

PROGRAMME:

September 10th – Brasileiro featuring Anna Noakes
October 8th – Cristina Rubio
December 10th – J-Sonics feat. Noemi Nuti

 Tickets: £10/£8 concessions
