Last night was one of the early nights of Leo Appleyard’s Pembroke Road album launch tour at Verdict Brighton. The Quintet were Leo Appleyard: guitar, Duncan Eagles: tenor saxophone, Paul Jordanous: trumpet / flugelhorn (NeilYates on the album), Max Luthert: bass, Eric Ford: drums/ percussion. Photographer Brian O’ Connor reports: “Virtually a full house, excellent gig, and they had an enthusiastic reception.”
