Nick Smart, Head of Jazz at the Royal Academy of Music, writes:

We have a kind of mini jazz week thing going on (starting today Monday 9th February) with six ensembles running. The ensembles are being led by John Taylor, Michael Janisch, Jim Hart, Martin Speake, John Parricelli and Martin France. All the rehearsals are happening simultaneously over the next three days with the concerts taking place at the Academy on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th evening. All those amazing band leaders will be playing in the ensembles with the students.

The concerts are at 6.00pm on Wednesday and Thursday, both in the concert room, three bands a night.
