  1. Learnt so much from playing with him with Tubby and Maynard and gigs at the bulls head and other times..A very humble man..no. one player..Hope he'll be okay.

  2. Peter has made a huge contribution to jazz in Britain. He is recognised by fellow musicians in the US and UK, as well as by his legions of fans, as one the very finest jazz alto saxophonists, truly world class. We are so lucky that he has made his contribution here and set the highest standards for British modern jazz. Those who know him as a person also know what a modest and warm guy he is. Great that this benefit evening is happening, and let's hope it gets a house full to overflowing.
