Alex Fane’s company Fane Management has been taken over by United Agents, it has just been announced. The deal went through on September 1st. For a young, new business, this represents a major, rapid and very promising scaling-up.
Some background: Alex Fane started working at the age of 18 as Assistant Maitre D’ at Brasserie Zedel and then moved over to manage the Crazy Coqs Cabaret & Jazz Club. Since setting up his own company he has produced almost 300 shows. Artists he has worked with have included Barb Jungr, Anne Reid, The Kansas Smitty’s House Band, Judy Carmichael, Jay Rayner, Kourosh Kanani, Peter Horsfall, Matthew VanKan, Pedro Segundo, Celia Imrie, Anne Reid and Lizzie Ball. Venues/ Festivals have included the Pizza Express chain, the City of London Festival and the St James Studio. He is producing a fifteen-date tour next month with New Orleans trumpeter Leroy Jones, plus Joe Stilgoe and Ian Shaw (FEATURE).
