NEWS: Hedsor Jazz Goes to School (Maidenhead, Berks, Sat 26 Sep)



Hedsor Jazz is a regular Thursday night gig run by Geoff Cronin at the Hedsor Social Club in Bourne End in Bucknghamshire. It has been running for thirteen years. 

On Saturday September 26th they have a full day of jazz planned from 11am to nearly midnight with some great bands, featuring artists who often appear at the club. It will be  at St. Piran’s School, Gringer Hill, Maidenhead, Berks, SL6 7LZ

FULL PROGRAMME


11 am Traditional Jazz, with The Clive Burton Quartet:
John Slater trumpet, Richard Kellaway clarinet, Clive Burton trombone, Nigel Foster Guitar

12.30 pm Mainstream and Bop. The Clive Burton Quintet
Clive Burton trombone, Mike Wills reeds, Martin Hart drums, Ken Rankine bass, and Nigel Fox keyboard.

2.30 pm The Martin Hart Quintet play “A Tribute to Benny Goodman”
Mike Wills clarinet, Alan Grahame vibraphone, Ken McCarthy keyboard, Peter Hughes bass, Martin Hart drums

4.30 pm The Remix Jazz Orchestra led by trumpeter
Stuart Henderson and featuring Simon Spillett with the Music of Tubby Hayes.

6.15 pm Gill Cook Sings
Steve Waterman trumpet, Ken McCarthy keyboard, Ken Rankine bass and Mike Jeffries drums.

7.45 pm The Simon Spillett Quartet with John Critchinson keyboard, Alex Dankworth bass and Clark Tracey drums.

9.00 pm The Nigel Price Organ Trio
Nigel Price guitar Pete Whittaker organ, Matt Home drums with Vasilis Xenopoulos on tenor sax.

10.15 pm The Survivors Jam Session

11.15 pm end.

Bar and hot food available on site.
