Detail from Rodin’s Burghers of Calais |
Georgia Mancio writes:
IAN SHAW has been going out to Calais for 3 months assisting refugees including unaccompanied children, families and other vulnerable people. In the absence of funded aid agencies, untrained volunteers try to help directly with shelter, clothing, healthcare , food and counselling. All money raised from the benefit is going direct on the ground.

I'm very pleased to say I managed to make it along for the second of these shows. The gig was great, the venue wonderful, the audience friendly, and the turns fantastic. Many thanks to Ian Shaw for arranging it and I only wish I could do more to help his endeavours in helping those desperately in need in Calais. And many thanks to all the artists for being wonderful too.
