NEWS from both the Parliamentary Jazz Awards and JazzFM Awards

The 2015 Parliamentary Jazz Media Award 


This year’s Parliamentary Jazz Awards (Terrace Pavilion of the Houses of Parliament, Tuesday 10th May) and the JazzFM Awards (Bloomsbury Ballroom, Tuesday 26th April) are both taking shape.

It is announced today that Gregory Porter will receive the Impact Award at the JazzFM Awards, “presented to a jazz artist who’s made an outstanding impression on the wider global music scene.” The first round of these awards – the contributions from the panel of nominators –  closes today.

The Jazz FM Awards 2016 is a partnership between Jazz FM and Serious and is made possible with the support of the Grange Hotels, Mishcon De Reya, PPL, Yamaha and Denbies Wine Estate.

The Parliamentary Jazz Awards are currently open for the first stage, a public nomination round. LINK HERE

The awards are organised by the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group (APPJAG), co-chaired by Jason McCartney MP and Lord Colwyn, and supported by PPL in conjunction with JazzUK, Jazzwise, and the Jazz Section of the Musicians’ Union.
