NEWS: Performers announced to complete Cheltenham Jazz Festival Line-Up (Apr 27 -May 2)

The Cheltenham Jazz festival is today making its third programme announcement to complete the line-up for the 20th Festival, which will run from April 27th – May 2nd. One change this year is described as “an expanded ‘around town’ programme featuring pop-up gigs and performances including in the town’s Brewery Quarter.”

-A Quincy Jones-themed concert featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra & Guy Barker Big Band with guest appearances from Liv Warfield and Madeline Bell
-A closing night concert from the festival’s Artistic Curator Jamie Cullum. -Jazz Jamaica -Ian Shaw, -Courtney Pine/ Zoe Rahman duo -Mulatu Astatke -The Brand New Heavies
-Taj Mahal
-Marcus Strickland
-Lizz Wright & Frankfurt Radio Big Band in the UK premiere of Gershwin songs arranged/conducted by Jim McNeely
– A ‘live remixed’ performance from Soweto Kinch and his trio feat. Gregory Hutchinson
-A new project from pianists Sarah Nicolls and Kit Downes entitled ‘Dinner Games’
-The world premiere of a Cheltenham Jazz Festival commission from Alexander Hawkins
