NEWS: Live at Zédel announces Autumn Season incl. EFG London Jazz Fest dates

Crazy Coqs is changing (Sebastian writes). It is now four years since the popular central London venue opened, and, as the autumn season, announced today demonstrates, there is to be a significant broadening-out of the programme. Crazy Coqs’ mainstay has been ‘classical cabaret’ with jazz and other elements. From September it is to be part of a new ‘Live at Zédel’ programme, for which the autumn 2016 has just been released.

Describing the change, Jeremy King of Brasserie Zédel says. The ‘Live at Zédel’ programme will present ‘a unique combination of all forms of live entertainment in one extraordinary building, including music, theatre, comedy and literary events…Whilst maintaining the cabaret genre for which Crazy Coqs is so well known, Live At Zédel will introduce classical music in the form of a Philharmonia Orchestra residency, diverse acts such as Doc Brown and Grayson Perry, emerging young artists and theatre groups such as Damsel Productions, Dolls Eye Theatre and Althea Theatre, and a whole host of incredible live music, from Clare Teal to Reuben James.’

The new programme will be co-curated with Alex Fane and United Agents.
