Bassist/ Composer Huw V Williams, one of the team behind the Sunday Jazz at the Salisbury gigs in Harringay, presents the autumn season, which starts tomorrow September 4th and continues every second Sunday, with the exception of the two Sundays of the EFG London Jazz Festival, which both have gigs. Huw writes:
We are very excited to announce the Autumn season of gigs at Jazz at the Salisbury. Entry to each gig will be £7, but if you retweet or share the event on social media you will get entry for £5.
Jazz at the Salisbury is run by a team of musicians, including guitarist Andy Button, drummer and percussionist Adam Osmianski, Saxophonist Josef Stout, drummers Marek Dorcik and Dave Storey, and myself. The line up this season reflects the musical universe of each member of the collective and on occasion you’ll get to see them perform.
This season we have everything from latin american influenced music to free improvising and m-base tinged sounds to folk infused jazz. Do please come down to one of our nights and share the news of our gigs to your friends.
The Salisbury Hotel is at 1 Grand Parade, London N4 1JX, on the corner of Green Lanes and St Ann’s Road, roughly half way between Turnpike Lane and Manor House underground stations.
