New York based drummer Matt Wilson brought his quartet down to the Pizza Express Jazz Club for two nights. Victor Hugo Guidini took the pictures. Steve Marchant reports:

The sound of this quartet was pure NY intensity. Wilson’s solos were both powerful and unusual. The audience was captivated by not only his mastery of his drum kit but also the combination of props and his facial expressions. His stage presence was genuinely humorous and entertaining.
