German-born, London-based photographer SARAH HOUBEN took these wonderfully atmospheric photographs at the Vortex on Monday 14th November 2016 (read Geoff Winston’s review of the same gig HERE). The trio of LIAM NOBLE (piano), MARK LEWANDOWSKI (bass)  and PAUL CLARVIS (drums) has a relatively new project playing the music of Fats Waller. The Vortex gig was recorded, and they also recorded the material this week in a studio, for an album to be released on Whirlwind Recordings in 2017. A tour is also planned for next year.
