A new mini-festival has been announced. Peter Bacon reports.
The Little Orchard in Chesham High Street has been having great success with its monthly jazz nights, so much so that it is now presenting a one-day festival: The Apple Jam Festival.
The line-up is an impressive one, with saxophonist Simon Spillett the host. The featured band leaders are guitarist Nigel Price, saxophonists Art Themen and Alan Barnes, and trumpeter Henry Lowther. Other players are double bassists Alec Dankworth, Stuart Barker and Dave Green, pianist Ted Beament, and drummers Trevor Tomkins and Mark Hale.
