Programmer Brian Blain looks forward to the autumn season at Lauderdale House in Highgate:

The Autumn programme at North London’s Lauderdale House kicks off on 11 October with Nigel Price‘s stunning four-piece with Alex Garnett. The series will take in shows by three of our major voices: Ian Shaw, Carol Grimes and Elaine Delmar.

November’s London Jazz Festival gig promises a high profile outing for Mo Foster and Friends featuring Ray Russell. Both were members of Gil Evans’ British band and the idea behind Mo’s collection of superstars was to pare down the great man’s arrangements for a six-piece. The project has since expanded to feature material by John Lewis, Mike Gibbs, Jaco Pastorius and others under the banner of ‘The Great Jazz Composers’.

Full details of all the concerts, prices and start times can be found at lauderdalehouse.org.uk
