Here is a handy guide to this week’s raft of announcements from five festivals, writes Sebastian

LOVE SUPREME (5-7 July 2019)

– First headliners announced: Snarky Puppy, Gladys Knight and Jamie Cullum
– Early Bird Tickets will go on sale tomorrow 22 November

CHELTENHAM (1-6 May 2019)

– First Names Announced For Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2019: Gregory Porter, Sergio Mendes, Joshua Redman and The Bad Plus
– Gregory Porter is announced for a new three-year role as Artistic Curator. His headline show will be on Saturday 4 May
– Henry Westons Big Top capacity will increase by 50% to 2,000
– The full line-up will be announced on 13 February
– Tickets will go on sale to Festival Members at 1pm on 27 November/ general public at 1pm on 29 November

BRISTOL (22-24 March)

– Full programme now announced
– While Colston Hall is being rebuilt, the festival will be at Anson Room, St George’s and at the O2
Richard Galliano, Soft Machine, China Moses, Liane Carroll, Ray Gelato and Pee Wee Ellis are among the headliners

NN NORTH SEA (Rotterdam, 12-14 July 2019)

– Early bird tickets, which last year sold out within a month, will go on sale on Friday 23 November at 9am
– First wave of artists will be announced in February

– Artists announced for the Elbphilharmonie: Wolfgang Schlueter memorial, Melanie di Biasio, Kit Downes, Jason Moran, Benny Golson, Julia Huelsmann
