those blocked chords made a difference to my life.
I met George in 1956 when I was dating his bandboy Al Ganci who was a close friend of Emil Richards the vibist for Shearing. Very memorable was the night at Carnegie Hall George had Toots Theilimans on Harmonica. He brought down the house with a pantomime version doing Elvis while tooting that harmonica. George knew people walk and or/perfume smell. You could walk in the room and he would know who it was! Amazing wonderful talented man.
