SOZINHO Randy Brecker (with the NDR Big Band) Best Jazz Vocal Album LITTLE SPELLS Esperanza Spalding Best Jazz Instrumental Album FINDING GABRIEL Brad Mehldau Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album THE OMNI-AMERICAN BOOK CLUB Brian Lynch Big Band Best Latin Jazz Album ANTIDOTE Chick Corea & The Spanish Heart Band Jazz-related winners in other categories Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals Jacob Collier, for Moon River Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals All Night Long – Jacob Collier Featuring Jules Buckley, Take 6 & Metropole Orkest Also, Terence Blanchard won “Best Instrumental Composition for Blut und Boden. Angelique Kidjo won best World Music album. Attacca Quartet received the Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance for its recording of Caroline Shaw’s Orange, and we were pleased to see just rewards for patient work by a good friend of this site, writer Donald Sturrock, the instigator and librettist of the opera The Fantastic Mr Fox, which won the award for Best Opera.

  1. It‘s about time the Grammys recognize Jazz. All the awards doesn’t have to always go to Cardi B and Lizzo.😊
