Attacca Quartet received the Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance for its recording of Caroline Shaw’s Orange, and we were pleased to see just rewards for patient work by a good friend of this site, writer Donald Sturrock, the instigator and librettist of the opera The Fantastic Mr Fox, which won the award for Best Opera.
It‘s about time the Grammys recognize Jazz. All the awards doesn’t have to always go to Cardi B and Lizzo.😊
