Sebastian writes:
The Crazy Coqs room at Brasserie Zedel next to Piccadilly Circus is announcing it fourth French Festival. The week-long series of performances was instigated by James Albrecht, Director of Fane Productions, who programmes the festival. The Francophone theme and a celebration of French culture fits the Beaux Arts style of the venue (HISTORY). There will be menu items and drinks to fit with the French theme too.
James Albrecht writes: “The headliners this year are French chanteuse, Caroline Nin, who brings her songs and stories of the Paris Lido; French magician and Gold Star Magic Circle member, Etienne Pradier for an evening of magic, mind reading and fun for all the family; Christine Bovill’s powerful musical homage to France’s most endearing icon, Edith Piaf; Crazy Coqs’ residency ‘The Crazy Coqs Presents’ promises to celebrate the best in French themed cabaret from Moulin Rouge, to Gigi, to Les Misérables; and Paris 1934 is a beautiful homage to the band of Parisian Jazz legends Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grapelli’s Quintette du Hot Club de France.”
