The coronavirus epidemic has unfortunately meant the longest running UK jazz summer school has had to be cancelled for the first time since it was founded in 1966.

As an alternative, they are running a 3-day live, online jazz course from Tuesday 4 to Thursday 6 August. It will feature the same world-class line-up of top jazz educators and include a wide range of sessions and activities, making the course suitable for all experience levels.

Course director Buster Birch says: “We have worked very hard to come up with a well-balanced timetable offering a mixture of playing, listening and watching activities. To avoid ‘screen fatigue’ there are plenty of breaks in between sessions and some classes are designed so you can fully partake in listen-only mode.”

Further details are available on the website, which includes a full schedule, information on classes and workshops, tutors, FAQs and an easy online enrolment and payment system.
