Full Programme for Cambridge Jazz Festival announced (18-29 November)

The programme for the 6th Cambridge Jazz Festival has been announced. Most events are free to view and will be streamed online – see below for the full listing and more details – and a donate link to support the festival.

Roslin Russell, Festival Director, says:

“Like many arts, music and cultural organisations, it’s been a rollercoaster year for the Cambridge Jazz Festival. Nevertheless, we were totally committed to ensuring that the Festival went ahead in some form.

“As a result, we have embraced the virtual world  and are all set to present a concentrated number of digital events, including a mix of concerts, live painting (from artist in residence, Gina Southgate – image above), workshops, interviews, talks, live Q&As and film documentaries that will appeal to everyone and anyone who loves jazz.”

“The Andi Hopgood choir workshop is an incredible opportunity for all ages and abilities in the community to come together and be part of the Festival. A restricted number of people can also attend the live Tim Garland masterclass at the large, socially distanced space in Cambridge Junction J1. For those who can’t attend, the masterclass will also be held online. There are newly commissioned works from Alice Zawadzki and Rob Luft

“This year’s programme offers a fantastic range of local, national and international artists, all bringing a potent mix of high-energy performances to get the party started or more chilled sounds to kick back to in the comfort of home after a long day at work.”

“Most of the 28 events this year are free. We just ask that people consider donating a small amount so that we can come back bigger and bolder next year.”
