A FEW THOUGHTS
– Sincerest congratulations to Dave Stapleton and the team at Edition Records on the Kurt Elling/ Danilo Perez Grammy.
– The In Memoriam section missed important losses. As Nate Chinen pointed out on Twitter
– There was a petition for Lyle Mays to be recognised
– Nate Chinen also wrote about Chick Corea and the Grammys
– Jacob Collier has achieved a unique feat with this, his fifth Grammy from seven nominations including Best Album. He has become, according to a press release, “the first British artist of all time to win Grammys for each of his first four albums; a major feat not achieved by even the most prolific of UK Grammy winners including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, David Bowie, Coldplay, Adele and Amy Winehouse.”
