First Artists Announced for Buxton Jazz Weekend 2024 (4-8 July)

Now in its third year, the Buxton Jazz Weekend is already becoming established as a distinctive event. Last year it had Wynton Marsalis as headliner. This year’s first programme announcement highlights an eclectic choice from Festival Director Neil Hughes. A heavily discounted Weekender ticket will go on sale on 5 December.

Neil Hughes writes:

“Although this is the 45th Buxton International Festival, it is only the third year in a row that we have had a distinct jazz stream. We are building on our success, with audiences growing over the last two years and, in 2024, the festival has allowed me to use the Opera House on three occasions – proof that there is demand for jazz at major festivals. I am really happy to be leading Buxton’s widening of their programme as we continue to invest in the jazz talent that is available, both here and across the globe.”
