The jazz for children project “Molly and the Owl,” composed by Nick Tomalin, recently received ACE funding for a UK tour and a London date on Sunday, 12th June. Mary James writes:
Pianist and composer Nick Tomalin will be performing his jazz piece for children, Molly and the Owl, at Gnome House as part of e17 Jazz’s summer season on Sunday, 12th June at 2pm. The piece introduces the basics of jazz to children aged 5 -12 in a fun, accessible way. It features a story about a girl called Molly and her meeting with a saxophone playing owl, the story is accompanied by a specially written live jazz score. The band includes:

Nick Tomalin – Piano
Mark Allaway – Saxes
Dominic Howles – bass
Matt Fishwick – drums
