Award Winners announced by Letter One Rising Stars, 7 Virtual Jazz Club

Two organisations have just announced the winners of their awards:

Letter One Rising Stars have announced their award winners: American saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins and Israeli trumpeter Itamar Borochov respectively are the winners of Letter One’s North American and European awards. The announcement was made during a virtual ceremony broadcast on Saturday 6 February by WBGO, hosted by Jamie Cullum. LINK TO FACEBOOK VIDEO. 7 Virtual Jazz Club had announced the winners of its fifth contest: Pros & Amateurs’ Category – Jury prize for the best musician: Brazilian vocalist Camila Ronza. (Video above) – Second Prize: saxophonist Alex Hitchcock – Third Prizes: Aubrey Logan feat. Hagelslag (from Hannover in Germany) – Canadian trumpeter Rachel Therrien Under 25 Category – Jury prize for best Under 25: Italian pianist Tommaso Perazzo – Second Prize to the band NAUSYQA – Third Prize: Spanish band Chai Masters – Honorable mentions: Italian trumpeter Davide Battista and Indonesian guitarist Daniel Dyonisius.
